Program for Animal Sighting Bigai Conservation Area

The Bigai Conservation Area is located in the San José de Payamino Parish in the Loreto Ecological Province of Orellana, 900 meters above sea level on the slopes of the Sumaco Volcano, which is protected by the Randers Regnskov Foundation of Denmark in an area of approximately 6000 hectares, which is composed of the mainland, waterfalls, rivers, lagoons and swamps, where conservation projects have been carried out for species such as the jaguar, puma, peccary, etc. Working with animal salons and parrot and parrot licks. We can arrive from the City of Quito at 5:30 h. approximately by land route or at 2:30 h from the airport of the city of Coca.

Day 01. - Departure from the city of Francisco de Orellana (Coca), to the community of San José de Payamino in private land transport and then continue to the interior of the Bigai Conservation Area .- arrival at our campsite.- Cocktail and chat welcome.- Lunch - hike along one of our trails for the observation of flora and fauna. - Dinner.- Night walk for the observation of mammals, reptiles, insects, etc.

Day 02. -Breakfast. - Adventure walk through the plain of the Conservation Area where we will have the opportunity to observe animals (mammals), box lunch in the jungle. - Return to the camp in the afternoon.

Day 03. - Breakfast. - Visit to the waterfalls (adventure hike) .- Sport fishing.- Lunch.- Tour for the observation of mammals where our guides will also teach us about the flora content of the place.- Dinner.- Night walk.

Day 04. - Bird watching on the mainland. -Breakfast.- Departure to the city of Coca to take the different transports to the city of Quito.
